Kevin M. Johnson, Owner

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Kevin has lived in the East Bay since 1982, when he moved here with his family from Eugene, Oregon.

He spent seven years learning the paint business from the inside-out, working for The Sherwin-Williams Paint Company, the largest producer of paints and coatings in the United States, and he brings this expertise to his own business, making sure only the most appropriate coatings are used for each type of surface.

Kevin believes it's very important to give back to the community. In the summer of 2007 Image Painting + Decorating co-sponsored & taught painting skills to students participating in the Richmond Build Pre-Apprenticeship Program, a program for the City of Richmond, which trained young people for qualification in various apprenticeship programs. Other sponsors included the Home Depot and Chevron.

In addition, Image Painting regularly participates in graffiti abatement efforts in East Bay communities.
